Oh, the hand on his thigh is a bit unexpected, but not at all unwelcome. Even small touches like this make Tetchō's heartrate increase, and some of the heat on his face might not be only because of the water. He'll just not think about other places that hand has been, that are very close to where it is currently.

They don't really get time off, it's true. A day here and there, but hardly ever two in a row. Even when they aren't currently on a mission, they need to be on call in case something comes in--and something is always coming in. So they can daydream, maybe, about simpler times that will never come, because once you're a Hunting Dog, you don't exactly retire.

"We could come without the commander," Tetchō agrees, thinking about how he's either drinking now, or passed out cold. He'll be a mess in the morning, as always. "And get a shared room."

And that idea is a little bit romantic. They have their own rooms here, of course, not that Tetchō would mind sharing one with Jouno.
